Are you a business owner or work-at-home mom?
Do you often feel tired because you are working too much?
What if I tell you that you can make your business flourish and thrive even if you only work one hour a day?
Too good to be true?
Believe me, it can be done. With the right mindset, you can be productive and grow your business with just an hour of uninterrupted work daily.
As a working mom who’s able to find the right work-life balance, I often write and talk about how to increase productivity at work and how to grow one’s business.
If you subscribe to my YouTube channel, I have posted quite a number of videos targeted towards small business owners, WAHMs, and marketing professionals, imparting tips on how to increase productivity and achieve business and job success.
In one of my videos, “How does ONE hour a day transform your business,” I challenged my viewers to try the 1-hour workday. (check it out below).

My prediction was, if people put in an hour of solid work on the most important aspects of their job or business, they will be able to transform it and watch it grow by leaps and bounds.
Yes, without feeling overworked and having more time for other important things in life like family, rest and relaxation, and personal development.
You might think that it is impossible to get things done in one hour. I know where you are coming from, because before I was introduced to the 1-hour workday approach, late nights and work during weekends were nothing out of ordinary.
Considering I had to take care of my family and wear so many hats (I am a mom, wife, business coach, engineer, marketing professional, and social media strategist, to name a few), there are times when it certainly felt like I was working 80 to 100 hours a week.
To say that I often felt exhausted is an understatement.
Why do people overwork themselves?
Well, we are always under the impression that if we didn’t work long hours, we are setting myself up for failure, that success only comes to those who put most of their working hours into their jobs or business.
There are times when we are close to crashing due to fatigue and yet we drag ourselves back to work because we believe we are slacking off and procrastinating.
We tire ourselves out unnecessarily because we want to accomplish more. And to think that a huge chunk of what we try to do during a regular workday aren’t even urgent.
The reason why I am espousing a 1-hour workday is that I finally realized that whenever I work extra long hours or sacrifice weekend breaks, productivity is greatly diminished.
I am unable to achieve my short-term goals and feel greatly dissatisfied.
So I told myself, ‘Hey, the inefficiency has got to stop!”
Rethinking Your Approach to Work
So I started to rethink my approach at work and how I run my business.
And with introspection, I came to the conclusion that I wasn’t focusing on the more important tasks so I wasn’t able to maximize the results I was expecting.
But by working one hour per day, the exact opposite happened. I am able to render 20 focused productive hours on my business each month without tiring myself out.
I am well rested, energetic, and able to achieve more.
Based on my experience, there are many benefits to working one hour per day.
First, it allows me to focus on the more important aspects of my business. I create content for my blog and vlog, do actual marketing, or meet with clients and mentees, among others.
The rule is during that one hour, I focus on things that count and direct my attention to activities that are revenue-generating.
The other tasks on my list are scheduled for another time.
Secondly, limiting my work hours gives me the freedom to have more time for myself, my family, and my social circles.
It is amazing how much free time I now have for family escapades, “me time”, and get-togethers with my friends.
Finally, working one hour daily fuels creativity.
By investing my time wisely and getting actual work done in an hour, I have extra time for pursuing new business opportunities, spotting upcoming trends, and creating new sources of income online or offline.
The 1-hour workday approach is truly a productivity hack and a simple mindset fix that delivers astounding results.
And I couldn’t be happier!
