How to Use a Scam to Get Leads

scam-alertSo you’re probably wondering where I’m going with this one?
Why I am talking about scams when we’re in serious business here.
Now it’s the beginning of a new year.
You are probably getting tons of calls, emails, or even people just randomly coming up to you and talking about business opportunities.
How do you know real deal from the scams.
How do you know which business is a scam.
Well how to use their businesses scams or not to get leads for your business?
That’s the big question of the day right?
You’re in a network marketer, so your biggest concern is finding people to talk to.
These people are called leads.
Now before I go any further I want to remind you – your leads are at the end of the day – PEOPLE
So treat them as such.
Don’t ever! and I mean EVER treat your leads like just another number.

So  back to how this scam is going to help you get leads.
Let me first ask you a question –
Have you ever made a glass of lemonade?
Or have you ever made tomato choka (kinna like a tomato paste but not quite) ?

Do you ever use THE BEST lemons?
or the BEST tomatoes?

No
you actually use the bad stuff and turn it into something else.
My mother always said,

“Every fault is a fashion”

There is nothing negative in the world that we can’t take and make something good out of it.
So in the same vein, you want to be able to turn negative thoughts, and perspectives of network marketing into a positive thing for your own business.
If someone says that your company is a scam, show them how it isn’t by providing facts about the company.
If another company is deemed a scam,
Then talk about that company.
Don’t propagate the negativity , but say you don’t know whether it is a scam or not.
Do some research on the company.
Do a comparison of that company to your own company.
Talk about what you know about your own company, without “bad talking” the other.
If you are positive in your conversation even about companies that may in fact be scams,
Guess what that does for you as a leader?
It positions you as someone who does not tolerate scams but also does not put people down.
You become a person that is liked and respected.

Think about the kid with the lemonade stall.
If you become the person that turns lemon into lemonade you just created a whole new market for yourself!
So my suggestion to you is to turn a scam into business for yourself by talking about how to avoid them, which companies to join instead, what training you should get.
Have a great day – starting others away from scams!

      Hilary,
Great article. Sometime it is hard to tell scam. You put another twist on the subject and your mother tip was on point. “Making lemon into lemonade basically work with what you have.
