Day 1 of the No Excuses Summit was one of the greatest days yet.
Well no it wasn’t.
The last day was ……
No it was ….
Heck everyday was just AWESOME!
Because everyday we learned something new.
We learned something to share
We learned something to propel our businesses forward.
I was super excited because one year ago I was exactly where many of the newbies were. I didn’t know a thing about online marketing,
I didn’t know what a capture page was; I didn’t know what an auto-responder was;
I had no clue what a thank you page was and I had no clue what they meant by traffic.
But I was committed to a process that was going to build a sustainable business.
So as Tim Erway was giving the introduction about what makes a 6-Figure business (the sales funnel) it occurred to me that not everyone really understands this.
Heck I didn’t.
Let me give you an example.
He told us to think of the sales funnel in the same way you’d think of the sales process of buying ….. well ANYTHING.
Basically everything that you need to start an online business the concepts you already know because you go through them everyday.
I thought I knew nothing but apparently I knew more than I thought.
What was fantastic about last year’s NES was that even though I was miles away I was able to build my very first funnel.
Now I keep talking about this funnel, so you’re probably trying to figure out what a sales a funnel is.
Well if you haven’t been introduced to the world of online marketing then let me take it back a step.
Most people can probably understand when I say the “sales process”. Right?
So the “sales process” online is called a sales funnel.
And on the first day of the NES6 workshop that’s exactly what they were building inside the workshop room.
So the Sales Funnel really looks like this:
It’s pretty basic right?
That’s the thing.
We always try to over complicate things when it comes to our business.
Look at the image.
What do you see.
I see Mac Donald’s on every corner; I see Starbucks on every corner; WalGreens; Walmart.
And you know what – once you sign up for one of those cards or buy anything from them they capture your information.
So they’ve created traffic.
Captured your information
Made you an offer (you’re there to buy)
But we all know that we never ever just buy one thing when we go to Walmart.
We always end up being “upsold” and didn’t even realize it right?
Then there’s the follow up.
This is where I’d say most businesses do a poor job.
I don’t mind hearing from your company but please don’t let it be ALL about Selling a product to me.
[Tweet “please don’t let it be ALL about Selling a product to me. “]
I’m a human being I don’t want to be sold.
So when Tim Erway explained this to everyone the simplicity of a 6-figure business started to materialize for a lot of people.
I don’t know if I did half as good a job as he did, but he does have a recorded webinar video that really explains this.
I’d love to share it with you.
All you have to do is follow this link you will learn how I took his principles and started my own business.
