New Lead Using Elite Marketing Pro
I got a LEAD!!!!
It’s not often that I share successes, but I thought it just made sense.
You see there are a lot of nay sayers out there who quite frankly I’d like to shut up!
No I’m not in a bad mood!
You’re probably wondering who is this writing.
Yes it’s me. I’m feeling really happy today.
I got a lead!!!
Actually I’ve been getting quite a few leads recently.
And it’s been great!
But this Lead was a special lead.
This lead that I want to tell you about wasn’t a lead for Elite Marketing Pro;
This was a lead for my Accounting Practice.
You see I’ve been a partner with my father’s Accounting Practice for about 4 years now.
But it was only since I left my job in October 2014 that I was able to dedicate any time to lead generation for that business.
Now I was generating leads for my EMP business since May 2014.
But those leads seemed to be not as targeted as I would have liked.
(You have to remember I only went online in April of 2014.)
So I was new to the whole LEAD generation thing.
I didn’t really understand how to attract leads.
Anyway
As you may or may not know – I went through the Elite Marketing Pro 60 Day Challenge.
One of the strategies that they taught us there was about social posting.
Today my business partner, as well as one of my personal mentors, and I did a 30 – minute Hangouts on Air about that very topic.
You can watch the whole thing right here.

Social media posting is very important as you can tell from the video.
And what got me the lead for my Accountancy practice was FREE social media posting.
Specifically using Linkedin.
Out of the blue I got an email from someone looking for Accounting services.
What were his exact words – I saw you on LinkedIn!
What I did On LinkedIn
Now you have to remember each social media network is different.
You also have to choose networks that suit YOU.
Quite Frankly unless your tips for network marketers can be applied to a brick and mortar business I’d stay away from LinkedIn (but that’s just my two cents)
When I post on LinkedIn I do three things.
1. I share my blog posts that are relevant to that market
2. I share articles from other authors
3. I ask meaningful questions in groups that I participate in.
One of the things we spoke about today was the fact that if you’re using social media – you have to remember not to SPAM people.
To be quite honest no one cares about your business.
They only care about the problems that they have.
So you need to show you care.
That’s how you generate leads.
You show people you’re interested in THEM by talking, sharing, posting things that interest THEM.
Leads are the people you want to get in order to sell to them.
You don’t want to sell to everyone
You want to sell to the people who have told you they are interested in you! — YOUR LEAD.
Have a great day!

I just loved the tips you posted. 🙂 The video didn’t play, however. Not sure if the problem is on my end or your blog’s end.
Thanks Ruth, I’ll check it out and reload.
Love how you mention… post only relevant information to the group you talk to. It’s so true. When we meet people, we want to find out about them and support them.
Great post and congratulations on the new accounting lead! Love it!
Thanks Katrina! Felt so good to call my father up and say we have a new client!
